New bar exam, no big deal--you can deal with this.  Public defending is a job with a purpose!

I am a first year law student considering working in criminal law. I just spent the past hour reading your blog (still not finished, but going to continue after I write this comment). I just wanted to say that your writing is incredibly inspirational and really makes me want to pursue a job in the PD's office. It is so refreshing to hear an attorney talk about a job that is actually MEANINGFUL. Most of the students that I go to school with are focused on getting jobs in big firms, making 6 figures, and making no difference. Your blog shows that there ARE law jobs out there that CAN make a difference and DO give you a sense of fulfillment! I love it!!! Thank you so much for posting your experiences-- it has really inspired me! :)
